First European rocket causes panic on Sicily

CATANIA, Wednesday The nose cone of the first European rocket, which was built in the Netherlands, caused panic in Sicily. Thousands of people have called the police to know what kind of flying saucer that shone a fiery light across the country. The rocket was fired at Salto di Quirra in Sardinia and with a payload of barium and ammonium, which was dispersed in the atmosphere at a height of about 200 km. There were bright clouds that provided the ground services with data on wind flow, temperature, etc..

CATANIA, woensdag De in Nederland gebouwde neuskegel van de eerste Europese raket heeft op Sicilië paniek veroorzaakt. Duizenden mensen hebben daar de politie opgebeld om te weten wat voor vliegende schotel, die een vurig licht uitstraalde over het land scheerde. De raket werd afgevuurd in Salto di Quirra op Sardinië en was geladen met barium en ammonium, dat op ca. 200 km hoogte werd verspreid in de atmosfeer. Er ontstonden lichtende wolken, die de gronddiensten gegevens verschaften over windstroming, temperatuur e.d.
