Polish scientist criticize Apollo 8 flight

WARSAW - Two Polish scholars have stated that in their opinion the Apollo 8 flight has none scientific purpose, also they say that the flight around the moon is too early and therefore the three astronauts are at risk. The criticism comes from Prof. Piotrowski, head of the space research committee of the Polish Academy of Sciences and Prof. dr. Paczkowski, the chairman of the space commission.

WARSCHAU — Twee Poolse geleerden hebben als hun mening te kennen gegeven, dat Amerika om niet-wetenschappelijke redenen zijn vlucht om de maan te vroeg gaat ondernemen, waardoor de drie astronauten te veel risico gaan lopen.

De kritiek komt van prof. Piotrowski, hoofd van het comité voor ruimte-onderzoek van de Poolse academie van wetenschappen en van Prof. Paczkowski, de voorzitter van de commissie voor ruimtevaart.
