Dates: 21 Dec 1968 – 27 Dec 1968.

Crew: Frank Borman, Jim Lovell, William Anders.

Apollo 8 was the second manned spaceflight mission in the Apollo space program, and became the first manned Apollo mission to leave low Earth orbit and to reach the Earth's Moon. When you read the AwE130 Apollo 8 home page you will quickly learn that it is very unlikely that Apollo 8 ever left Low Earth Orbit. It is more then likely that Apollo 8 photographs from the moon and Earth are made by unmanned spacecrafts, retouched and relabeled Apollo 8.
