Apollo 16 was the fifth mission to land man on the Moon and the first to land in the lunar highlands. The photographs on the moon were shot on a sound stage somewhere in a desert. The photographs from lunar orbit are made by earlier unmanned missions and earth based telescopes, retouched and relabeled Apollo 16.
